Woodland Fantasy

Cone 06 oxidation (first photo): Woodland Fantasy is an emerald green translucent base glaze with large, bright blue/green crystals that melt.  

Cone 10 oxidation (second photo): Base glaze changes to brown – crystals fade and melt. Enhanced mobility. Surface issues may occur.

Designed for ornamental use when applied to low fire (cone06) earthenware clay bodies. Not recommended for use on dinnerware produced from low fired earthenware as these glazes exhibit surface texture such as cracks and crevies.  This glaze contains solube copper in the formulation and therefore carries the heatlth caution symbol. Products with this symbol are NOT suitable for use by children under 12 years old.

While formulated for cone 05/06 use glazes perform well on stoneware to cone 6. This glaze will flow and move at higher tempertures, firing your ware flat or vertically will impact the look. Due to movement of the glaze, recommend limiting the amount of crystals on bottom third of piece so avoid glaze running off piece. This glaze becomes brown and green at cone 6, recommend testing on your clay body.
