Ethical Trading Policy
Hobby Ceramicraft is committed to conducting business in an ethical, responsible, and lawful manner. We expect high standards of integrity throughout our operations and supply chain. We carefully choose the suppliers and manufacturers we buy from and hold them to high standards.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, suppliers, and business partners involved in the sourcing, import, and distribution of goods.
Our Business Model
We are a UK-based wholesaler importing ceramic materials from third-party manufacturers mainly based overseas. While we do not directly manufacture products, we recognise our responsibility to encourage ethical practices within our supply chain.
Policy Commitments
We expect our suppliers to operate in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in the countries in which they operate and to adhere to internationally recognised labour standards, including:
- No use of forced, bonded, or involuntary labour
- No use of child labour
- Safe and hygienic working conditions
- Fair and lawful wages and working hours in line with local legal requirements
- Respect for workers’ rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining, where legally permitted
- No discrimination in hiring or employment practices
We do not knowingly engage with suppliers involved in unethical or illegal labour practices. Where concerns are identified, we will seek clarification and take appropriate action, which may include review or termination of the supplier relationship.
Compliance and Improvement
We aim to work with reputable suppliers who share our commitment to ethical trading. We will continue to develop our supplier due diligence processes to improve visibility of ethical standards within our supply chain.
This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated as our business and regulatory requirements evolve.
