Instructions
Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
Soak a length of jute in SW-303 Manganese Wash. Wrap the jute around the mug. It can be wrapped in single band or in a spiral. Just make sure the jute has enough of the wash in it. Remove the jute.
Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SW-250 White Opal to the outside of the mug, then apply 2 coats of SW-204 Amber Topaz over the SW-250 White Opal.
Apply 3 coats of SW-203 Root Beer to the inside of the mug. Allow to dry. With a damp sponge, wipe off any excess glaze off the foot of mug.
Place unstilted, on a high-fired, kiln washed kiln shelf.
Fire to shelf cone 5/6.
